As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and reproducible research computing environments. This role blends technical expertise with strategic vision, supporting everything from big data analysis and machine learning to qualitative research and open science initiatives. • Build and optimise research environments tailored to diverse computational needs—from econometrics to NLP.

You’re a technically skilled, forward-thinking problem solver with a passion for research computing and AI. You understand the needs of academic researchers and know how to translate those into robust, scalable digital environments.

Experience with HPC, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerisation (Docker, Singularity), and research software tools (MATLAB, R, Python, TensorFlow, NVivo) is essential. Familiarity with data governance, reproducibility frameworks, and AI ethics is highly desirable.
