Our client in Driffield is currently on the lookout for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join a dynamic team, providing high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support. Based in Driffield, this full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to contribute to the organisation’s IT infrastructure while working in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support across the organisation, ensuring a high level of customer service in line with ITIL principles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
- Build, configure, and deploy laptops, mobile phones, and tablets, ensuring smooth device lifecycle management
- Perform system administration tasks, including user management in Active Directory and Exchange
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues, resolutions, and asset management
- Support mobile device and application management across Microsoft, Apple, and Android platforms
- Identify and escalate security risks where necessary
- Work on strategic IT projects and contribute to continuous service improvement
The following skills and experience will be beneficial for this role:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a customer-facing IT support role
- Strong imaging and build skills for laptops and mobile devices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical and logical approach
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
- Working knowledge of wireless technologies and IT asset management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with users at all levels
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
- Full driving licence and access to own transport
