Do you have design or estimation experience within a construction environment? Are you a strong communicator with customer service experience? We are working with a well-established manufacturing business that supply bespoke products into the construction industry.   • Responsible for designing, specifying and pricing structurally adequate products in response to client enquiries.
  • Champion Health and Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed.
  • Prepare accurate, competitive and detailed technical schedules with the support of an internal structural engineering team.
  • Follow up schedules with customers to build relationships with key contacts.
  • Provide basic calculations to the current standard for all products specified.
  • Provide detailed handovers to the project team when orders are received.
  • Deliver excellent customer service; attend office and sites when required to develop customer relationships, develop product design and solve technical issues.
  •  Carry out product presentations as a training aid to staff and customers.
  •  Conduct site installation training sessions for customers when required.
Design EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Experience working within a construction estimating/technical role.
  • Able to understand construction or engineering drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Bluebeam would be an advantage
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
