Design and Technology Teacher (SEMH School)

Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently seeking an experienced Design and Technology (DT) Teacher for an SEMH school in West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging DT lessons and creating a supportive, active learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic teacher with a passion for inspiring students and developing their skills in the subject.

Key Responsibilities for DT Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging DT lessons in line with the school curriculum
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation
• Manage and maintain student behaviour effectively, promoting a focused and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular activities
• Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Hold QTS or equivalent, with experience teaching DT in a school setting
• Confident delivering the national curriculum and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
• Experience working with students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (desirable)
• Patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with students
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
