Salary: CompetitiveContract: Full time, Permanent Location: NottinghamshireWe are looking for an outstanding teacher of Design & Technology to join our experienced and passionate staff team. The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3, AQA GCSE Design & Technology and AQA A level Product Design. The ability to offer a further subject would be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will provide outstanding high-quality teaching and learning opportunities for our children, ensuring they achieve and make progress in relation to their potential and school expectations. These embrace a full range of sports, music, societies, expeditions, drama, many forms of art and technology, CCF, voluntary service, and a wide range of hobbies.The ideal candidate will:
  • Possess a good degree in specialist Design & Technology teaching, Product Design, or a related subject (with a supporting PGCE or QTS).
  • Have experience of teaching Design & Technology.
  • Be able to deliver inspiring and exciting lesson across the age range.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent design and making skills using a wide range of equipment, techniques, and processes.
  • Understand and use all aspects of CAD/CAM in their teaching using Techsoft, Solidworks and Cura software to utilise a range of CNC equipment.
  • Have a proven track record of excellent results and an ability to encourage students to perform at the highest level.
  • Have the ability to offer a further subject.
  • Promote resilience, adaptability, and independence through teaching.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to participate in the Christian traditions of the school.
