Deputy Nursery Manager – Term Time Only

Salary: £28,500 per annum

Hours: 36.25 hours per week

Our client, a highly regarded early years setting, is seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their strong and supportive team.

The Deputy Nursery Manager will work closely with the Nursery Manager to lead the team and ensure the smooth running of the pre-school room. This role is central to maintaining a caring and stimulating environment where every child is supported to thrive and prepare confidently for their next stage of learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education

  • Proven leadership or senior-level experience in a nursery or early years setting

  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding responsibilities

  • A confident, compassionate communicator with strong organisational skills

  • A team player who is passionate about delivering high-quality early years provision

  • Experience in a pre-school setting is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily running of the nursery, with a focus on the pre-school provision

  • Lead and motivate staff, ensuring a collaborative and positive team culture

  • Oversee planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring high standards of care and education

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and all regulatory requirements

  • Act as a role model, supporting the development of junior staff through guidance and mentoring
