Deputy Care ManagerLocation: Cardiff & NewportReporting to: Registered Manager
About the Role:We’re looking for a motivated and passionate Deputy Care Manager to support our high-quality care service across Cardiff & Newport. You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding care, lead and support our team, and ensure full compliance with CIW and commissioning standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day delivery of care services across Cardiff & NewportEnsure compliance with Right at Home, CIW, and other local/national standardsProvide leadership and support to office staffOversee quality assurance and work closely with the Compliance OfficerPromote person-centred care and implement care plans effectivelyTake part in Manager on-call dutiesSupport and oversee Care Coordinators and rota managementProvide admin support to the Registered ManagerStep into the Registered Manager role when neededSupport recruitment and interviewsMonitor and manage team performance against KPIsUnderstand and work within the brokerage systemEssential Requirements:
Minimum 12 months in a senior care/support roleAt least 12 months of experience coordinating care servicesWorking towards or completed QCF Level 5 in Leadership and ManagementExcellent knowledge of Cardiff and surrounding areasFull UK/EU driving licence and access to a vehicleStrong IT, organisational, and time management skillsExperience with CSIW regulations and domiciliary care standardsAbility to undertake personal care if requiredConfident in handling difficult conversations and change managementTeam player who can also work independentlyWhat We’re Looking For:
