About the role
As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment and optimal stock availability across depots and retail locations. Working closely with the logistics and buying teams, you will forecast demand for both new and discontinued products, coordinate inter-company stock transfers, and proactively resolve delivery issues.
Your role will also involve daily reporting on supplier shortages and stock-outs, providing critical insights to support data-driven decision-making. By maintaining efficient supply chain operations, you will play a key role in enhancing service levels and ensuring customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for
· Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of products, working closely with the logistics team to optimise stock turnover and minimise stock-outs
· Manage inter company stock transfers between depots
· Place orders and follow through on deliveries to ensure stock arrives on time, and any issues or discrepancies are resolved efficiently
· Work with Buying team on Product forecasting for new and delisting products
· Maintain and report on supplier shortages and OOS issues daily
· Develop and evaluate scenarios for demand changes due to market fluctuations or seasonal peaks
· Propose and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
