• Hours: Monday - Friday (1 x Saturday in 4 will be required - paid/time off in lieu) - 37 hrs per week.

My client based in Welwyn Garden City, is seeking an empathetic Equipment Installer / Delivery Driver to join their busy team. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for helping others, especially the elderly and vulnerable. The successful candidate will assist the community by delivering and assembling essential medical equipment supplied by the council directly into people’s homes.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver, install, and collect various equipment as prescribed by Health and Community Services, Children’s Services, Acute Trust, and other NHS staff.
• Demonstrate equipment to clients and provide them with instruction manuals, ensuring safety protocols are followed by leaving safety stickers on items requiring professional training before use.
• Perform basic administrative duties associated with the Electronic Loan Management System (ELMS), including obtaining client signatures for orders and syncing handheld devices daily.
• Maintain communication with office staff to report any delivery or installation issues, ensuring any potential failed hospital discharges are promptly addressed.
• Always provide excellent customer service, handling equipment with care, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Working one weekend in every four will be required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold a clean, valid Full UK Driving License and be able to drive a 3.5T vehicle. This can be D1 (for older licenses) or should be B or B1 for driving licenses issued after 1997.
• Must be physically fit as lifting will be required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Empathetic, patient approach and understanding of the needs of older service users.
• Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including one weekend in four as the service moves towards 7-day working.
• DBS check or willingness to undertake a DBS check.
