Renault Retail Group seeks an experienced Automotive Dealership Accountant to join us as a Financial Controller, covering our West and North-West London commercial market area.

The role’s main base will be Renault London West, our new flagship dealership soon to open off the Great West Road, with regular visits required to nearby sister sites Renault Hayes and Renault Watford.

The main purpose of the role will be to carry out timely and accurate financial reports relating to the three dealerships and interpreting them for senior and line management to ensure control and performance. You will be exercising full control over all financial aspects of the business in accordance with Company policy.

Day-to-day duties include overseeing the accounting and controlling function for the business unit’s 3 dealerships and aiding the Head of Business in ensuring optimum performance from each branch and function is achieved; ensuring monthly business review meetings are carried out at with all dealership management; ensuring that the Branches operate within Group policies and comply with other statutory financial requirements; taking ownership of and ensuring the integrity of the branches’ monthly Balance Sheets; and controlling the Free Cash Flow objectives of the business units ensuring monthly stock reviews, monthly bonus debt reviews and weekly debtors vehicles are held at each branch.

Each month you will be carrying out monthly payroll reports and reconciliations. Periodically through the year you will be co-ordinating and assisting in the production of the yearly budgets and subsequent reforecast exercises to ensure that it has a strong financial foundation; and ensuring physical inventory checking and reconciliation is carried out including vehicle stock checks, fixed asset checks and parts stock checks in line with group communicated dates

Other duties can be expected that are in line with management requests.

Recent experience as a motor retail Dealership Accountant, Automotive Management Accountant or Motor Group Financial Controller is essential. As is extensive experience in preparation of Management Accounts within strict deadlines.

Other requisites include

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the rest of the MS Office Suite
• Full UK Driving Licence, held for at least one year (for Company Car Insurance purposes)
• Within one hour’s commute of each of the dealerships in this remit: Brentford (TW8), Watford (WD18) and Hayes (UB3). Note: our flagship site will be at Staples Corner (NW2) for an interim period of time between now and May 2024.

Candidates with specific working knowledge of the Keyloop Drive / ADP Autoline / Kerridge lineage of accounts systems / dealer management systems will be prioritised. However candidates with experience in other DMSs including Pinewood Pinnacle, Reynolds & Reynolds Power, Kalamazoo Elite or Ebbon-Dacs products will also be considered.

Desirable

• Previous motor retail accountancy experience, covering more than one site/dealership
• Experience with a Manufacturer-owned or plc dealer group

This role will operate Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm or 9am to 5:30pm, with 30 min lunch. 40 hours per week. Once successfully established in the role, up to 2 days hybrid working / WFM may be possible.

In return we provide a basic salary of £55,000 per annum plus an annual bonus scheme which provides additional earnings up to 25%.
