What you'll do:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing novel statistical methods for analysing custom molecular biology datasets. You will collaborate with various teams within the organisation to design experiments that drive technological improvements. Your ability to communicate complex data findings across the company will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will work alongside software developers and quality teams to ensure all coding aligns with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Design, develop and implement statistical methods for the analysis and reporting of genomic and clinical datasetsWork closely with technology development, product development, clinical and operations teams to design experimentsConduct statistical analyses and provide insights to help drive improvements of our technologyCommunicate analysis results and implications clearly across the company, including to non-technical colleaguesWork with software developers and quality teams to implement code in line with software development proceduresEnsure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Data Scientist role brings a wealth of experience in statistical and machine learning methods. You are fluent in statistical programming languages like Python. Your background in life sciences gives you an edge when working with biological data. You have a knack for quickly understanding concepts in molecular biology which you can apply effectively in data modelling. Your clear communication skills coupled with your 'can do' attitude make you a valuable team player. Knowledge of software development and quality assurance standards such as ISO 13485, EN 62304, ISO 27001 would be advantageous.

Experience in the development of statistical and machine learning methods, techniques and toolsFluency in statistical programming (preferably using Python)Experience in life sciences and working with biological data (preferred)Ability to quickly grasp an understanding of concepts in molecular biology and apply these to data modelling and interpretationClear communicator, with a 'can do' attitude and the ability to work with cross-functional teamsKnowledge of software development and quality assurance such as ISO 13485, EN 62304, ISO 27001 (desired)
