DATA SCIENTIST

HYBRID (Midlands)

£60,000 - £85,000

COMPANY:

Our client is a leading European retail company based in the midlands. They are currently undergoing a large restructure and offer a strong/progressive work environment with significant opportunities for growth. They are looking to make a lot of progress in the applications around Data Science and Machine Learning within the industry. Immediate work will cover projects Forecasting and Predictive Modelling.

ROLE:

• Lead forecasting projects independently from start to finish
• Utilize machine learning techniques to anticipate trends and inform strategic decisions
• Collaborate closely with data engineers and business partners to gather requirements and drive insights
• Undertake projects such as forecasting margin after discount, warehouse usage, product demand etc.
• Be actively involved in the planning of new stores.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience in forecasting methodologies
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Azure
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with AB testing
• Familiarity with A/B testing platforms and methodologies
