Data Protection Assistant

Location: Solihull

Salary: £27-30k depending on experience

Full time, hybrid, permanent

This role combines responsibilities in data protection compliance and legal administration.

Key Responsibilities

Data Protection Compliance

• Handle Data Subject Access Requests in accordance with UK data protection laws.
• Assist with data protection complaints and routine audits (data processors, information asset registers, cookies, international transfers).
• Draft and review basic data protection policies and procedures under supervision.
• Support implementation of Data Retention Policies.
• Conduct ad-hoc research on data protection matters.
• Monitor regulatory changes, ICO guidance, and maintain enforcement logs.
• Keep internal documentation accurate and up to date.

Legal Administration

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the legal team.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and invoice processing.
• Liaise with Finance, Accounts, and Compliance teams on routine matters.
