Data Engineer

Location: Burnley, Lancashire

Contract: Permanent - 37.5 hours per week - Hybrid (2 days a week in office)

Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE + performance bonuses + great benefits

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and building pipelines in the data platform, with automation, quality and resilience at the core.
• Supporting the development of a scalable data architecture and engineering roadmap.
• Helping colleagues across the business solve data problems, from ad hoc data extraction to long-term ETL solutions.
• Sharing best practices and mentoring junior team members in a newly formed, collaborative data team.
• Playing an active role in shaping a future-proof data environment as the organisation scales.
• Working on a hybrid model, 3 days working from home and 2 days working from the office.

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on experience in a Data Engineering role working with large datasets and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Solid Python and SQL skills.
• A proactive, curious mindset, you enjoy owning projects, breaking down problems, and learning new things.
• Strong communication skills, you can explain complex ideas simply and document clearly.
• Understanding of data best practices (e.g. version control, security).
