Our work is exciting and challenging, connecting the people who solve the problems that matter. It means working with us has real meaning and impact, and you’ll grow - professionally and personally - in ways you never thought possible. What you’ll be doing
As a Data Engineer Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming The IET’s data landscape, ensuring our data strategy and technology solutions are cutting-edge, efficient, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Data Technology and CRM, you’ll lead the evolution of our data architecture, championing best practices and driving the adoption of Azure-based data solutions.
You’ll be at the forefront of modernising our data technology stack, implementing scalable and resilient data pipelines, and enhancing accessibility, security, and usability. Working across all teams at The IET, you’ll provide technical expertise to ensure high-quality, reliable data underpins critical decision-making and operational excellence.
As a leader in the Data Technology team, you’ll guide offshore development teams, collaborate with analytics and business stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping the future of data-driven insights at The IET. If you’re passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive impact and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
What we hope you can bring to the role
We’re looking for a highly skilled data engineering professional with experience in shaping and embedding organisation-wide data strategies. You’ll have hands-on expertise with Azure data technologies and a strong track record of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
Your technical credibility will be key in making impactful architectural and engineering decisions. Strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to engage with diverse teams, and experience in Agile delivery processes will be vital. Experience in AI/ML implementation within an Azure environment would be a great advantage.
