The OpportunityAn established and fast-growing consultancy in the energy and carbon sector is seeking a meticulous and proactive Data Administrator to join their dedicated team in South Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation that works with a wide range of industrial and commercial clients, helping them navigate the evolving challenges of energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and regulatory compliance.
About the RoleReporting to the Data Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely management of utility and client data - the foundation of the consultancy's services. The work will involve handling data from electricity, gas, and water suppliers, as well as other business-critical metrics such as transport, fuel usage, and production figures.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain client records within internal systems
- Collect and analyse energy usage and invoice data
- Upload and manage utility bills and consumption records
- Liaise with utility suppliers to resolve billing issues and negotiate refunds or credits where appropriate
- Work with clients and third parties to gather non-utility-related data
- Support colleagues in delivering efficient, data-driven solutions for clients
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate client data across all platforms
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience within the energy sector, particularly with a TPI, broker, or supplier, is advantageous
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative approach to working within a team environment
