Dance and Drama Teacher - Independent Prep School

Connaught Education is partnering with a small, family-oriented independent prep school in Edgware, seeking a Drama and Dance Teacher to start in either September or January 2024.

The role involves teaching Drama and Dance to children aged 4-11. As a one-form entry school, Dance and Drama are integral parts of the curriculum, with students learning tap, ballet, and other dance styles.

The school is academically selective, providing a high-quality learning environment that supports every child in reaching their full potential.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Organising, managing, and teaching the Autumn Term Production and the Year 6 Leavers' Production.
• Collaborating with the Music Teacher for the Spring Term Show, producing the tap/dance performance included in it.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (desirable).
• Proven track record of successful practice within Drama and Dance with this age group.
• Knowledge of teaching tap dance (desirable but not essential).
• Experience in primary teaching or equivalent (essential).
• Ability to teach and choreograph dances (essential).
• Positive attitude and a can-do approach.
