D365 SCM Consultant - Robert Walters : Job Details

Robert Walters is looking for an experienced D365 Consultant to lead on an exciting upcoming project with our client based in the West Midlands. Experience implementing D365 SCM and/or other asset management systems and processes is heavily desirable.

What you'll do:

As a Dynamics 365 SCM Consultant, you will be at the heart of an ambitious project designed to revolutionise how assets are managed across an extensive portfolio manufacturing spaces. Your role will involve working hand-in-hand with technical experts, operational staff, and leadership teams to design robust processes that harness the full potential of D365's asset management capabilities.

• Lead the implementation of a new asset management system (preferably D365) with a focus on the asset management module, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across workshops, research facilities, and operational teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective D365 solutions
• Provide expert guidance on best practices for managing high-value assets, including secure cells for sensitive research and large-scale production machinery
• Develop comprehensive documentation for new processes, configurations, and user guidelines to facilitate smooth adoption across all departments

What you bring:

To excel as a D365 Consultant in this setting, you will bring proven experience guiding similar projects from inception through successful completion-ideally within manufacturing or research-driven organisations. Your deep familiarity with D365's asset management functionality will enable you to design solutions that address both operational complexity and regulatory requirements. A background in finance equips you with insight into how robust asset tracking supports broader business objectives such as cost control and risk mitigation.

• Demonstrable experience implementing D365 SCM and/or other asset management systems within complex environments
• A solid background in finance or financial process optimisation as it relates to supply chain or asset management systems
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including technical specialists, operational managers, and end-users in large organisations
• Strong understanding of best practices in asset lifecycle management-from acquisition through maintenance to disposal-within manufacturing or research settings
