As a Customer Order Management Specialist, you will be pivotal in managing customer accounts and enhancing customer relationships through exceptional service. This role is crucial for driving sales and ensuring the smooth execution of the order management process.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Serve as the primary contact for designated customers, managing a portfolio of assigned accounts from order entry to resolution of customer service enquiries.
- Oversee the end-to-end order management process, ensuring efficient coordination across departments to eliminate delays and minimise inventory.
- Confirm and acknowledge customer orders within agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and designated timescales, maintaining transparency with customers about any delays.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the MRP system, adhering to established processes and verifying prices thoroughly.
- Provide timely customer documentation, including order acknowledgments, drawings, and certificates, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Address and progress expedite requests by collaborating cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations teams to meet customer expectations effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in CRM and ERP systems, with strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Advanced verbal and written business communication skills, with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a track record of successfully implementing solutions.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent customer handling skills and a history of delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage a busy, high-pressure environment.
- Technical understanding of products to aid in accurate and timely order processing.
- Confident and self-motivated, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels internally and with customers.
