Customer Service Advisor

Duration: Temporary, 8-Weeks (With a chance of extension)

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Location: Rochford, Essex

Payrate: £15.00 per hour

We are delighted to be working with the leading local authority to support with a Customer Service Advisor to join their waste services team.

Role Purpose:

You will be a proactive and customer-focused individual to serve as the first point of contact for all enquiries related to new waste services across multiple platforms including telephone, email and webchat.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing accurate information and resolving enquiries.
• Deliver courteous, professional, and empathetic service at all times.
• Use effective communication techniques to manage sensitive situations and de-escalate conflict when necessary.
• Promptly and accurately record customer interactions and service requests using the IT system.
• To observe all the requirements of safeguarding and to report any potential concerns in accordance with the policy.
• Ensure data protection policies and procedures are met at all times.

Key Person Specification:

• Strong working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience of working within a customer focused environment.
• Knowledge of Local Government services.
• Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
