A reputable criminal defence firm based in London is currently seeking a driven and organised Criminal Paralegal to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Criminal Paralegal looking to gain hands-on experience within a high-profile and fast-paced legal environment. Working alongside a team of expert defence solicitors, the successful Criminal Paralegal will be exposed to a wide range of cases, from police station matters to Crown Court proceedings.

This role is well-suited to a Criminal Paralegal with previous experience supporting fee earners in criminal law. The firm is known for its strong reputation in defending complex and serious criminal matters, offering the chance to work on challenging cases while developing long-term career prospects.

The Criminal Paralegal will provide essential support to solicitors on active criminal cases, helping to prepare case files, attend police stations, liaise with clients and counsel, and manage evidence and documentation. The role will also include legal research and assisting in trial preparation. Regular travel to police stations and courts across London will be required.

This is a highly varied role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone with a proactive mindset and a strong interest in criminal law. Working under pressure and to tight deadlines is part of the day-to-day, so organisation and communication skills are key.

• Previous experience as a paralegal within criminal defence (essential)

• Police Station Accreditation (desirable but not essential)

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (essential)

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
