Criminal Justice Recovery Worker - Service Care Solutions - Healthcare : Job Details

Service Care Solutions are proud to be working in partnership with a respected charity delivering vital substance misuse services acrossSouth Yorkshire. This organisation is committed to supporting people in the criminal justice system by offering timely, person-centred interventions that encourage recovery and reduce reoffending.They are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivated Criminal Justice Case Manager to join the team and help change lives.The Role: You’ll work directly with individuals referred via police custody suites and courts, conducting assessments and delivering brief interventions. This is a varied role that combines frontline support, care coordination, and multi-agency collaboration.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments around substance misuse issues and risk evaluations for individuals in custody or on bail
• Develop and implement tailored care plans
• Deliver brief interventions and harm reduction advice
• Refer service users into appropriate treatment pathways
• Support clients through the early stages of recovery and encourage engagement
• Attend court and custody environments across South Yorkshire
• Work closely with partner agencies and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings
• Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to internal/external reporting
• Promote wider access to housing, health, and support services

Essential Requirements:

• A relevant degree such as Criminology, Social WorkOR
• Diploma in Substance Misuse or equivalent
• Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrable experience working within substance misuse, criminal justice, or related fields
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and care planning
