Credit Vettings Clerk

We are seeking an Accounts Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in finance, offering a strong foundation in administrative skills within a financial setting. The successful candidate will be involved in managing new accounts, site creation, general admin, handling telephone queries, and other duties as required.
Day-to-day of the role:
New Accounts:
- Open new accounts on the system, ensuring all required information is provided concisely and forms are signed correctly.
- Follow audited requirements when vetting new accounts and/or sites.
- Run Credit safe reports and attach to accounts.
- Email branches to advise on account numbers.
- Complete google maps searches, email/phone verifications, and trade references as required, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Send customer letters in a timely manner once vetting checks are completed and signed off by a superior.
Site Creation:
- Investigate and confirm temporary sites daily.
- Set up and upload site requests accurately, liaising with internal and external customers to maintain correct formats and follow all audit requirements.
General Admin:
- Attach new account forms on the system and maintain paper records where required.
- Update address changes as needed.
- Ensure a high standard of presentation for letters/memos.
- Produce Proforma invoices as required.
- Update daily Credit safe score/changes on relevant accounts.
- Set up and maintain boomerang invoice requests.
- Distribute boomerang email answers/queries within the team.
Telephone Queries:
- Assist customers with queries or direct them to the appropriate department.
Other Duties:
- Provide assistance to others as required.
- Handle any ad-hoc duties such as filing and managing post.
- Assist the CC Team with projects as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates energy and initiative.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of numerical accuracy and reconciliation skills.
- Proficient in Excel and able to learn internal systems quickly.
- Minimum 1 year of previous office experience.
