Join a dynamic team overseeing credit exposure across global chartering, broking, financing, and transactional operations. This role is pivotal in shaping and enforcing the group's credit risk framework. As Credit Risk Manager, you'll lead the development and execution of credit risk strategies, ensuring robust controls across counterparties and transactions. You'll collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to manage receivables, defaults, and recoveries, while maintaining oversight of interest policies and exposure tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit Risk Oversight

  • Design and maintain credit policies tailored to counterparties, sectors, and geographies
  • Monitor exposure limits and ensure adherence to internal guidelines
  • Define and apply interest terms across contracts
  • Detect and escalate credit events and defaults
  • Advise on risk mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Maintain centralized records of exposures, overdue balances, and claims

• Claims & Recoveries

  • Partner with Legal and Insurance teams to support claim resolution

• Counterparty Monitoring & Reporting

  • Conduct regular assessments of counterparty creditworthiness using internal and external data
  • Highlight emerging risks and recommend changes to terms or limits
  • Deliver weekly exposure and recovery reports to senior leadership
  • Issue immediate alerts on defaults with recommended actions

Key Requirements

• Min. 6 years' experience in credit risk, ideally in maritime or commodities
• Strong grasp of shipping contracts and financing structures
• Knowledge of legal and insurance procedures related to claims
• Analytical mindset with clear communication skills
• Skilled in credit risk platforms and financial reporting tools
