This role supports the bank's Audit Department in ensuring accurate credit grading and compliance with bank procedures. It involves conducting in-depth credit reviews, managing stakeholder relationships, and providing expertise across various banking products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review credit applications to assess obligor and facility grading accuracy.
- Conduct full file reviews, identify issues, and liaise with front office teams.
- Discuss and finalize findings with the Credit Review Partner.
- Follow up on recommendations and ensure their closure.
- Assist with Self-Assessment Classification Reviews and Discounted Cash Flow Reviews.
- Represent the department in credit review meetings and internal audits.
- Support cross-training and lead branch credit review processes.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive credit analysis and management experience in major UK/international banks.
- Strong understanding of credit risk and complex financing structures.
- Preferred expertise in Project Finance or Leveraged Finance.
- Attention to detail, data-driven approach, and IT proficiency.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
