Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with our client in Goole, who are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and supportive finance department, where you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, minimising overdue balances, and ensuring smooth cashflow.

• Process and post daily cash receipts from the bank into the system, across multiple currencies
• Drive timely and effective cash collection through email, phone contact, and strong customer relationship management
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve queries around late payments, delivery issues, and order blocks
• Carry out credit checks for new customers and ongoing reviews for existing accounts
• Propose, gain approval for, and maintain accurate customer credit limits and payment terms
• Support month-end close activities and provide assistance with ad hoc reporting and projects

• Proven experience within a credit control environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
• High attention to detail, with accurate record keeping and clear communication
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• A flexible, proactive approach, with a willingness to adapt to changing business needs
• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
