Credit Controller (6 month contract)

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum

Location: Manchester

Structure: 2 days in office, 3 at home

An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join a highly respected finance team based in Manchester City Centre. This pivotal position is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of cash and supporting the financial health of the organisation.

As a Credit Controller, you will be at the heart of managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt, and building trust-based relationships with clients. What you'll do:

• Manage customer accounts by monitoring payments, resolving overdue balances, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accurate records.
• Proactively engage with customers to resolve outstanding invoices, arrange payment plans, and build positive working relationships.
• Maintain comprehensive records, safeguard data, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Support business priorities through cross-department collaboration, effective communication, and adherence to organisational values.
• Commit to continuous development and ESG principles by completing training, promoting sustainability, and fostering diversity and inclusion.

What you bring:

• Proven experience in business-to-business credit control/accounts receivable duties.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English; A-levels or further education desirable.
• Previous experience in customer service, finance, or administration with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems to manage financial data.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy, and communication skills for handling sensitive information and customer queries.
• Able to prioritise tasks, problem-solve proactively, and remain resilient under pressure.
• Team-oriented, professional, and supportive in both customer and colleague interactions.
