Job Description :

A leading organisation in Manchester City Centre is seeking a Credit Controller to play a vital role in supporting the financial health and ongoing success of the business. This position offers you the opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive finance team, where your expertise in managing customer accounts and reducing aged debt will be highly valued.

As a Credit Controller based in Manchester City Centre, you will be at the heart of the finance function-ensuring cash flow remains healthy by monitoring customer accounts for timely payments. Your day-to-day activities will involve communicating with clients regarding overdue invoices, resolving account discrepancies with care and accuracy, and maintaining detailed records of all interactions.

Key duties include:

  • Regularly review customer accounts to ensure timely payments are made and identify any overdue balances that require attention.
  • Proactively contact customers by phone, email, or letter to follow up on outstanding invoices and arrange suitable payment plans when necessary.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies within customer accounts, ensuring all payments are accurately allocated and records remain up-to-date.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all communications, payment arrangements, and account activities within the credit control system for full transparency.
  • Develop positive working relationships with both customers and internal teams to support effective credit management and resolve issues collaboratively.

To succeed as a Credit Controller in this Manchester-based opportunity, you will bring proven experience from roles involving customer service or finance administration-demonstrating your ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

You will have the ideal:-

  • Previous experience in business to business credit credit control and/or accounts receivable duties.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems or Microsoft Excel is beneficial for managing account reconciliations efficiently.
  • Excellent numeracy skills paired with exceptional attention to detail are crucial for accurate record-keeping and payment allocation.
  • Confident written and verbal communication abilities allow you to interact effectively with customers regarding sensitive financial matters.
  • Strong organisational skills empower you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

In return you will receive a 6 month contract, hybrid working days(2 days on the office,3 days at home) and the potential to covert to a permanent contract.
