Credit Controller - Four Squared : Job Details

Job Title: Credit ControllerLocation: Redditch 8:00 - 4:30 5 Days A WeekSalary: Up to £35,000 DOEReporting to: Accounts Receivable SupervisorOverview:We're recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a global distribution company based in Redditch.Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will manage credit control activities across for a £4million - £5million ledger ensuring timely payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting smooth financial operations.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload and working in a collaborative, people-focused environment. You will need to be comfortable on the phones and chasing payments this way with a great telephone manner.Credit Controller Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor client accounts
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices using a proactive
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of client communications and paymentstatuses
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve billing and account queries
• Attend regular meetings with account managers to review aged debt
• Tailor communication style to suit different clients and sectors
• Allocate incoming payments daily and complete bank reconciliations
• Process credit notes in accordance with group policies
• Generate and share credit control reports for management and stakeholders
• Contribute to improving credit control procedures across the group
• Assist with general finance-related tasks and ad-hoc support as required

Credit Controller Profile:

• Proven experience in credit control
• Confident communicator, particularly over the phone
• Highly organised with great attention to detail
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider finance team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and basic formulas)
• Experience with Sage and comfortable with Excel
• Positive attitude, professional approach, and team mindset
• Strong understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality
