Credit Controller – £28,000–£30,000 – Full-Time – Norwich

Are you an experienced Credit Controller with a keen eye for detail and a talent for building strong customer relationships? We have a fantastic full-time opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a busy and friendly accounts team in Norwich.

The Role

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, monitoring customer credit, and ensuring payments are made within agreed terms. You’ll play a key role in reducing credit risk, resolving queries, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor customer credit and manage company credit risk
  • Process all sales ledger transactions accurately and on time
  • Liaise with customers to ensure prompt payment and resolve invoice queries
  • Maintain credit insurance systems and liaise with insurers
  • Carry out account reconciliations and allocate payments
  • Process new customer applications and credit checks
  • Use internal systems to manage order release and stop lists
  • Provide accurate reports to management and assist with decision-making
  • Handle legal matters relating to credit control when necessary

About You

We’re looking for a confident and professional Credit Controller who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You’ll be a strong communicator, comfortable dealing with customers and colleagues alike, with the ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven credit control experience with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills (Kerridge, Sage, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
