Credit Controller - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established and reputable business in Elland to recruit an experienced and driven Credit Controller to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to take ownership of their own customer ledger and play a key role in the company’s cash flow and credit control function. The successful candidate will be confident, professional, and thrive in a busy, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Proactively manage and collect debts from a designated ledger of customers
• Liaise with internal departments across the group to resolve invoice or payment issues
• Utilise customer portals to retrieve data and upload invoices
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all chasing activity
• Perform monthly account reconciliations
• Respond promptly and professionally to client and internal enquiries
• Process credit card payments efficiently
• Work to meet KPI targets set by the line manager
• Monitor and manage incoming emails across multiple inboxes
• Follow internal debt escalation procedures for unpaid balances

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience in credit control is essential
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• IT literate with a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
• High level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Reliable, conscientious, and methodical in approach
• A collaborative team player with a flexible and positive attitude
• Confident and professional telephone manner
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
