Credit Controller - Ivy Rock Partners Ltd : Job Details

Ivy Rock Partners is proud to be supporting a renowned Higher Education institution in their search for a Credit Controller to join the finance team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

As Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing the accounts receivable process ensuring timely collection of fees, minimising aged debt, and supporting students through effective communication. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong financial acumen with excellent interpersonal skills and a student-first approach.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger
• Proactively chasing outstanding debt via phone, email, and formal letters
• Working collaboratively with the student finance and admissions teams to resolve disputes
• Setting up payment plans and advising students on payment options
• Producing aged debtor reports and supporting the monthly reporting cycle
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures and external audit requirements

We’re looking for a finance professional with a track record in credit control, preferably within the public or education sector. You should be confident handling complex queries, have excellent communication skills, and organised in managing workflows.

You will have:

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and GDPR
• Excellent communication skills with a professional, student-friendly approach
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
• Experience using finance systems (e.g. Agresso)
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
