Forge Talent have partnered with a highly successful business who now need to grow their Credit Control Team to support continued business developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and target driven B2B Credit Controller who enjoys managing their ledger to achieve best results.
This position will enable the successful applicant to take the lead on their ledger throughout the credit cycle, from onboarding and credit checking new customers, collecting outstanding amounts to allocating incoming payments.
In addition to previous experience in a similar position, strong communication and relationship building skills are essential.
In addition to the basic salary, an achievable monthly bonus is on offer.
Credit Controller Role Overview:
- Credit checking and setting up new customer accounts.
- Proactively managing a ledger of circa 500 accounts, Chasing due and overdue debt via telephone and email.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment allocations.
- Complete regular statement reconciliations, sending copy invoices as required
- Process credit notes as required, gaining prior authorisation from The Credit Control Manager.
- Supporting process improvement projects, enabling a better customer experience and improving collection timeframes.
- Complete internal payment reconciliations and credit card processing.
- Positively contribute to the integration of credit control processes across the business to further drive efficiencies.
- Ensure that any customer queries are managed and resolved effectively and efficiently to prevent any payment delays.
- Liasie with billings teams as required to resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
Credit Controller Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a B2B Credit Control position, with proven cash collection results.
- Experience of working on a fast moving, high volume and high value ledger within a fast paced and target focussed environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with customers.
- A proactive and results driven mindset and approach to targets.
- CICM qualifications are highly advantageous although by no means essential.
- The ability to work collaboratively as a team and independently to achieve both combined and individual targets.
- Advanced Excel and computerised system skills
- Knowledge of Credit Insurance policies is highly advantageous.
- A desire to advance further in a Credit Control career pathway.
