We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a leading business services provider in Chelmsford in this newly created position. This role requires a focus on managing client accounts effectively while ensuring timely collections and accurate financial record-keeping.

Description
- Monitor and manage client credit accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to review credit limits.
- Prepare reports on outstanding debts and credit performance for management review.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit control activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
- Support the implementation of improved credit control processes and systems.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- Proven experience in credit control or a related role within the Accounting & Finance department.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Job Offer
