Credit Controller - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyYou will work for one of Northern Ireland's independent distributors who have been in business for over 50 years. This company prides themselves on their quality of service and their dedicated team of staff. Your new roleAs Credit Controller, you will report to the Credit Control Manager working within a dedicated finance team. Your duties will include:

• Monitor and control the release of customer orders in relation to their agreed Credit Terms
• Control and analysis of customer accounts in relation to collections or payment type processing i.e., Direct Debit, Cash, Cheque, Pay point etc.
• Processing of month-end procedures, e.g. statements, reports
• Assist in the processing of bad debt collection, e.g. small claims, insurance, letters etc.
• Liaising with Sales Managers to ensure accounts are managed correctly
• Handling daily administration queries on existing customer accounts
• Daily day-to-day maintenance on new and existing accounts
• Cash processing, reconciliation and lodgements admin if necessary
• Summary Invoice processing
• Insurance Indemnity maintenance

What you'll need to succeedA minimum of two years Credit Control ExperienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and WordAbility to work under pressure and to strict deadlinesAmbitious attitude and excellent communication skillsAn understanding and appreciation of the importance of prioritising workloadAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat you'll get in returnYou will work for an established local business on a full-time permanent basis, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with an hour lunch break.
