Credit Controller - Robert Half : Job Details

Location: Birmingham Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (on-site, full-time)Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)

Introduction:

We are representing a client seeking a diligent and experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a temporary basis for three months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, managing credit control functions to ensure timely payments and effective debt recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the collection of customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers while handling overdue accounts and negotiating payment plans when necessary.
• Regularly review and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring all payments are accurately recorded and applied.
• Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, collection activities, and credit control performance for management review.
• Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities, including communications with customers and internal notes.
• Ensure all credit control activities comply with relevant laws and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide support to the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience in a credit control or similar finance role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and integrity in financial management.
