Description
- Assess and monitor credit risk for new and existing customers.
- Establish and maintain credit limits in accordance with company policies.
- Proactively contact customers with overdue payments to secure timely payment.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimise aged receivables.
- Negotiate and agree on payment plans when necessary.
- Review and issue invoices in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute regular customer statements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Generate and analyse reports on the status of outstanding debts.
- Provide regular updates to management on credit control performance.
- Assist in preparing financial reports related to credit and collections.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of credit control principles and practices.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- May be working towards an Accountancy Degree
