Credit Control / Sales Ledger Manager – Derry/ Londonderry

Reed Finance are delighted to have been exclusively appointed to recruit for a Credit Control/Sales Ledger Manager to join a fast-growing and exciting business.
Reporting to the Financial Director, the successful Credit Control /Sales Ledger Manager will work closely with the accounts team and assist in smooth-running of the credit control and sales ledger function of the company. This role will require you to liaise with specialist construction subcontractors whilst managing prestige projects on a global scale.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the credit control team.
- Liaise with specialist manufacturing subcontractors, managing bespoke projects on a global scale.
- Enhance the efficiency of the credit control processes.
- Collaborate with management to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Monitor and pursue retention payments and evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing clients.
- Prepare and submit payment applications and invoices.
- Resolve billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies, addressing escalated issues within specified timeframes.
- Manage credit control activities, including client communication via phone and email to ensure timely payments, and maintain strong client relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience within the construction sector is essential
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, liaising with specialist construction subcontractors.
- Proficiency in invoicing using accounting software.
- Ability to manage high volumes of invoices efficiently and effectively.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
