cer Financial are working alongside a really nice well structured international bank who are based in the West End. They are seeking a Credit Analyst to work with them on a permanent basis.
The responsibilities of the Credit Analyst will include:

- Provide guidance to Relationship Managers on the preparation of quality credit applications in line with the Risk Appetite Statement.
- Provide credit analysis Real Estate proposals covering compliant facilities for residential properties.
- Proactively monitor, amend and deliver quality credit applications for owner occupied (both regulated and non-regulated) and BTL facilities.
- Undertake robust transaction cashflow modelling for new and existing cases, including downside scenario analysis.
- Compile and ensure timely and accurate submission of credit applications and annual credit reviews.
- Identify possible enhancements and streamlining to the credit application process in the Private Banking department.
- Work with Credit Risk team to ensure the final legal documentation and analysis is in keeping with the approved terms and conditions.
- Monitor compliance with credit policy, relevant local regulations, business strategy and real estate underwriting standards.
- Drive enhanced levels of credit portfolio MIS for presentation through internal meetings such as pipeline discussions.
- Proactively monitor the portfolio with specific emphasis on the prompt and timely delivery of all AML Reviews and Facility Reviews within the portfolio to DH for review prior to submission to Compliance and Risk respectively.
- Reviewing the transaction pre completion checklist and the drawdown form prior to any funds being disbursed.
- Maintain ongoing records of required information i.e. Conditions Subsequent, AST Agreements.
- Assist the RMs with the completion of their annual AML reviews, including ensuring that ID / proof of address etc are up to date, identify any changes to structure or income profile.
- To assist the Head of Private Banking with producing various reports (e.g.: Manco, Consumer Duty) and in maintaining certain MI reports (e.g.: new deals WIP, renewals WIP, and Annual Credit and AML reviews).
The successful candidate:

- Sound working knowledge and use of MS Office applications.
- An understanding of the Residential and Commercial Real Estate markets and a broad understanding of financing Due Diligence Process and the documentation required thereto, as well as knowledge of the legal and valuation requirements for all types of Real Estate Financing.
- Real Estate Credit Administration knowledge.
- Transaction Management knowledge.
- Understanding of legal documentation, valuation reports and cash flow models.
- Experience of credit analysis tools.
- Cashflow modelling for real estate proposals.
- Good financing/banking experience, including extensive credit related experience ideally within residential lending within a Private Banking environment.
- AML / Compliance recent knowledge.
- Experience in Sharia risk structures would be a distinct advantage.
- Wider experience of credit stress testing of the portfolio for ICAAP purposes etc
