The role:

The College is looking for a Creative Arts Lecturer, to deliver Creative Arts courses to 16+ year olds students. The creative studies department offers courses across a number of industries, they include Fine Arts, 3D Sculpture, Textiles and Fashion, Graphic Design, Print/Illustration and Photography, Film and Media, Creative Studio Techniques, and Art and Design.

Duties of the position:

• Ensure students achieve their academic potential
• To deliver the best practice in learning, teaching and assessing.
• Keep up to date with curriculum initiatives
• Marking and returning students work in accordance with college policies
• Create engaging, informative and fun lessons
• To act as a Personal Tutor when required offering 1:1 support for students
• Complete any continued personal development required (e.g. completing teaching or assessing qualifications

What you need:

• A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one whilst in post
• Degree or vocational qualification at the appropriate level in a relevant subject
• Effective communication skills and ability to work flexibly as part of the college team
• Relevant and current subject knowledge
• GCSE Maths and English C or above
• A clear enhanced DBS which the college would process for you
