As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom, supporting student's learning when their regular Teachers are unavailable.

This is a full-time role with flexible working days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the assigned Teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
• Maintain effective classroom discipline in accordance with School policies.
• Offer feedback to Teachers on student progress and any concerns encountered during the cover.
• Support students with queries and maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment.
• Adapt easily and be prepared to cover different subjects and year groups when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with secondary students is essential.
• Confident classroom presence and the ability to lead learning activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and classroom management abilities.
• A genuine interest in supporting student's progress and wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references from recent positions in the education sector.
