They are looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The business can offer a salary of between £37,000 - £40,000, study support and hybrid working.

Description

• Implementing cost standards for materials and labour.
• Conducting cost analysis and preparing budget reports.
• Assisting in monthly and quarterly accounting close procedures.
• Collaborating with procurement and operations to develop a cost forecast.
• Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions.
• Participating in audits and general ledger preparation.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and internal audits.
• Preparing (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts.

Profile

A successful Cost Accountant should have:

• Currently studying ACCA / CIMA
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial management.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good business acumen for problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confidence in building relationships with internal departments and key stakeholders.
