There is a particular emphasis on distressed properties and sales by insolvency office holders and property receivers. Role Overview
The successful candidate will lead the Conveyancing Department, driving strategic growth while overseeing a varied caseload of high-value and complex property transactions. You will work closely with clients, providing expert legal guidance, and managing a team of lawyers and support staff to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Conveyancing Department, including supervision of junior lawyers and support staff.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies to achieve growth and client service excellence.
- Advise on all aspects of conveyancing, with a focus on complex and high-value transactions.
- Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents for diverse property transactions.
- Act as a trusted advisor in negotiations and property-related disputes.
- Maintain strong client relationships through consistent, high-quality communication and service.
- Stay informed on legal developments affecting conveyancing and property law.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated legal solutions.
- Mentor and support the professional growth of junior team members.
- Manage transactions across a range of property types, including developments, hotels, residential, mixed-use, apartment blocks, buy-to-let portfolios, and freehold investments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in conveyancing law.
- Experience with distressed properties and sales by insolvency office holders or property receivers preferred.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload under pressure.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
- Existing client base preferred but not essential.
