About the Role
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our friendly and thriving Residential Property team in Brighouse. This is a hands-on, client-focused role where you’ll play a vital part in supporting residential sales and purchase transactions.
We’re seeking someone with at least 12 months’ conveyancing experience, ideally in sales and purchase matters, who can hit the ground running. You’ll need to be confident, organised and enthusiastic, with a genuine commitment to providing outstanding client service. Key Responsibilities
Opening new files and inputting instructions onto the case management system
Producing relevant legal letters and documents
Keeping the case management system up to date as the matter progresses
Issuing contracts and assisting with replies to enquiries
Ordering searches and handling exchanges
Setting up completions and preparing mortgage reports for clients
Dealing with incoming post, client calls and general enquiries
Administrative tasks including filing, billing, photocopying and archiving
Key Skills
Strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Professional, friendly and client-focused communication skills
Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
A flexible, proactive, can-do attitude
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Experience Required
12+ months’ experience in conveyancing, specifically handling residential sales and purchases
Previous experience in a busy, fast-paced legal environment
