About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our friendly and busy Residential Property team based in Bingley. This is a client-focused role where you’ll be supporting residential sales and purchases, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in offering a helpful, professional and approachable service.

Previous conveyancing experience is essential (12+ months ideally in sales and purchase), and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll need to be a quick and accurate worker, able to follow instructions carefully while managing a fast-paced workload with a lot of client contact. Key Responsibilities

  • Opening new files and inputting instructions onto the case management system

  • Producing relevant letters and legal documents

  • Updating the case management system in line with team procedures

  • Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with replies to enquiries

  • Ordering searches and dealing with exchanges

  • Setting up completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients

  • Handling incoming post and telephone enquiries

  • General administration including filing, billing, photocopying and archiving

  • Strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Friendly, professional and client-focused communication

  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and work under pressure

  • A flexible, proactive attitude with a team-first approach

  • Confident working on your own initiative

Experience Required

  • 12+ months’ experience in conveyancing, specifically in residential sales and purchases

  • Previous experience in a similar fast-paced legal environment
