Reed have partnered with a well-established legal firm in Leeds is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join their close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is client-focused and takes pride in offering a professional, approachable, and efficient service. The role will involve supporting the conveyancing team across a range of residential property matters, providing hands-on assistance throughout the transaction process.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Issue contracts on sale files and assist in dealing with replies to enquiries
- Order searches and handle exchanges and related paperwork
- Set up completions and issue Mortgage reports to clients
- Manage incoming post and handle telephone enquiries where possible
- Perform general office tasks such as filing, billing, faxing, photocopying, sorting post, and archiving
- Working closely with fee earner to support with admin and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Good keyboard skills with the ability to work accurately
- Literate and numerate with a customer-friendly and effective approach to enquiries
- Experience in conveyancing, specifically sales and purchase, is essential
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the capability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
