About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy property teams based at our Guiseley office. This is a client-facing role supporting both residential and new build property transactions, and we’re looking for someone who prides themselves on delivering a professional, helpful and friendly service.

Experience in conveyancing is essential, specifically in sales and purchase matters, as we’ll need you to hit the ground running. You’ll be a quick and accurate worker, comfortable following instructions carefully while managing a high volume of work and plenty of client contact. Key Responsibilities

  • Opening new files and inputting instructions onto the case management system

  • Producing relevant letters and documents

  • Updating the case management system throughout the matter

  • Issuing contracts and assisting with replies to enquiries

  • Ordering searches and managing exchanges

  • Setting up completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients

  • Handling incoming post and telephone enquiries

  • General administrative duties including filing, billing, photocopying, and archiving

Key Skills

  • Good keyboard, literacy, and numeracy skills

  • Ability to work accurately and prioritise workload under pressure

  • Professional, customer-friendly manner

  • A flexible, proactive attitude and team spirit

  • Comfortable working on your own initiative

Experience Required

  • 12+ months experience in a conveyancing sales and purchase environment

  • Previous experience in a similar fast-paced, client-facing legal role
