EY345 Contract SupervisorLocation: Kettering based, with UK wide travelSalary: £35,000 + benefits package + company vehicle Overview:First Military Recruitment are seeking an experienced Contract Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients, to join a well-established industry services provider supporting water utilities and the petrochemical sector. The company specialises in media refurbishment and related field operations across the UK.This role includes both site-based and office-based responsibilities, ensuring that contracts are delivered efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will be based near our clients Kettering Head Office and open to frequent travel across the UK, including overnight stays.Candidates from an ex-military background are encouraged to apply, but all qualified candidates will be considered.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the execution of contracts on-site with a strong focus on health and safety compliance.
  • Manage site staff and subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Maintain communication with clients to ensure expectations are met and issues are resolved.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and seamless project delivery.
  • Track progress of ongoing works and report updates to senior management.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records for all site and contract activities.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to site teams and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience supervising site-based contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable using digital tools for project tracking and reporting.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable / Advantageous:

  • Telehandler qualification
  • Experience in the water industry
  • Recognised qualifications within the water sector or engineering
  • SSSTS and EUSR certifications
