We take pride in delivering high-quality projects, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong client relationships.About The RoleWe are seeking an ambitious and driven Contracts & Site Operations Manager to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone currently working in a similar role, or perhaps you are working in a junior operations, site, or project management role and are looking to take the next step in your career.You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our site, ensure the smooth delivery of projects, and play a key role in managing resources, safety, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and coordinating active site projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget
- Managing the on-site workshop (equipment servicing, maintenance, repairs, and defect management)
- Supervising site teams and workforce planning & scheduling
- Ensuring Health & Safety compliance across all operational activities
- Preparing and managing RAMS and other essential documentation, and ensuring teams have access to what they need
- Supporting procurement, materials management, and job logistics
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Spotting opportunities to improve systems, reduce waste, and grow operational capability
- Working closely with the Company Director and Office Manager to ensure alignment across field and admin teams
Who We're Looking For:We welcome interest from candidates who:
- Are currently working in an Operations, Contracts, Sites or Project Manager role
- Have experience in a supervisory position and are ready to step up
- Are confident in making decisions, managing & leading a team of people and are proactive and think ahead.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Background in construction, civil engineering, groundworks, utilities, or similar
- Site/project/operational management experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills – able to juggle multiple moving parts
- Excellent working knowledge of H&S and compliance
- Good with people – confident in communication, delegation, and accountability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and job tracking systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Experience with budget management and cost control.
- Familiarity with tendering and contract management.
- Relevant industry certifications.
