What You'll Do:As our Contract Officer, you will play a vital role in the Investment Team, responsible for:
- Leading various investment projects from pre-tender procurement to final handover.
- Preparing specifications, managing contracts, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Acting as Principal Designer when necessary.
- Collaborating with external advisors, including architects and engineers, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare specifications and procure works in line with organisational standing orders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage planning and building control approvals.
- Engage and consult with leaseholders, ensuring their voices are heard in decisions impacting their homes.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure, approving invoices as per financial policies.
What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A strong understanding of the construction industry and detailed knowledge of building regulations.
- Experience in managing budgets and delivering projects on time.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- A professional qualification in building maintenance or construction (e.g., RICS, CIOB, RIBA) is preferred.
Your Skills:
- Ability to write concise and persuasive reports.
- Strong negotiation skills and a knack for problem-solving.
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.
